The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 18, 2021. May the words of Dr. King, one of America's great freedom fighters, inspire you to join us in the march forward as we work to turn his dream into a reality.
Following the presidential inauguration, The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center welcomes you to connect with your community as we hold space together for conversation, reflection and support.
As the promise of the New Year continues to be challenged by political uncertainty, racial double standards, and the ravages of COVID, The LOFT encourages you to join us in the collective strength of our LGBTQ+ community.
The first part of the evening, 5:30-6:30pm, will feature C.A.L.M. (Centered At LOFT Meditation) & Queer Zen, a group meditation practice co-sponsered by Queery.
Then from 6:30-7:30pm LOFT staff will be leading a check-in on recent events including the inauguration and continue to process the aftermath of the violence that occurred on January 6th.
This conversation is presented by The LOFT's Pride In Politics program and the center's LGBTQ+ Mental Health Peer Support Group.
You are welcome to participate in both or either part of the evening. There will be a five minute break in-between sessions.
(FREE HIV/STI testing occurs the 3rd Tuesday of
every month from 5pm-8pm)
