    Silver Connections 3rd Tuesday Open House

    Silver Connections is The LOFT's LGBT 55+ Senior Outreach Program.

    Silver Connections is designed to encourage socialization and continued learning in adults, ages 55 and older. The group holds meetings focused around learning new topics and skills, inter-generational conversation, peer support, and community outings.

    Silver Connections Open Houses run on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Tuesday of every month from 11:30am-1:00pm.

    With Chelsie O'Burchett and Adrienne Jaret

    Weill Cornell Medicine is committed to eradicating disease and enhancing human health through cutting-edge, translational science.  WCM scientists target some of the most formidable health challenges of the 21st century including cancer, cardiovascular disease, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, etc.

    Join us for an informative discussion on the services and paid research studies for older adults provided by WCM that you can be part of!

    In January 2019, we asked you for your feedback on our Silver Connections program - and the time has come to set our wheels into motion.

    The Planning Committee is your chance to take a leadership role and lend your voice and expertise to the growth of our Silver Connections program.

    Join us to learn more about getting involved in this new initiative!

    Al-Anon (ACC)

    Al-Anon Adult Child (AAC) is a support group for the friends and families of problem drinkers.

    Al-Anon meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

    Bisexual Peer Support Group

    The Bisexual Peer Support Group is an open topic group run by a trained facilitator. The group open to all who identify as bisexual or who are questioning their sexuality.

    The Bisexual Peer Support Group meets on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday evenings of each month from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

    LOFT Peer Support Groups are open topic, drop-in groups. Groups are led by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance. There is no need to preregister and no fee to attend.

    Donations are welcome. Suggested donation is $5; more if you can, less if you can't. Fees related to activities are the responsibility of participants.

    Memorial Thrift Shop

    The Memorial Gift Shop is a thrift store co-run by The LOFT and MUMC.

    The shop is open Monday Thursday from 10am to 2pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. The shop is closed on Sundays.

    Spirituality Support & Discussion Group

    Spirituality Support & Discussion Group is a meeting for all LGBT people, ages 18+, to discover, rekindle, or live in faith and/or spirituality. Individuals of any belief system are welcome to participate in discussion, share experiences, questions/concerns, and seek advice with other spiritual individuals.

    ________________________________________

    Spirituality Support & Discussion Group meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

    All are welcome.



    LOFT Peer Support Groups are open topic drop-in groups. There is no need to preregister and no fee to attend. Donations are welcome. They are lead by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance.

    There is no fee to attend discussion groups but a $5 donation is suggested, more if you can, less if you can’t.  Fees related to activities are to the responsibility of participants.

    The LOFT: LGBT Community Services Center

    Center Lane TransParentcy

    This group is run by Center Lane:

    TransParentcy is a group for transgender, non binary, and gender nonconforming youth (ages 13-21) and their parents/guardians. During this meeting, both youth and parents/guardians meet with Center Lane staff to have their own separately held support groups.

    TransParentcy meets at The LOFT on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

    CANCELLED ¡Westchester, Tu Ambiente!

    ¡Westchester, Tu Ambiente! is open to all Hispanic/Latinx LGBT community members, ages 18 and older. This group is open topic, drop-in based, and is facilitated in both English and Spanish. In addition to one support group meeting a month at The LOFT, ¡Westchester, Tu Ambiente! plans one group activity a month. Activities are posted to calendar as they are planned, and are listed below.

    This ¡Westchester, Tu Ambiente! meeting is moving to August 1st. See you then!

    55+ Peer Support Group

    A peer support group specifically for LGBT people 55 and older!

    The 55+ Peer Support Group is an open-topic, peer-led, support group created to address the specific needs, challenges, and lives of people 55+.

    The 55+ Peer Support Group takes place the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

    Please note the 55+ Peer Support Group will not meet on Tuesday, July 4th due to the holiday.

    July 11th:  Actionable Aging - Are you aging with a plan?  Join us to discuss topics related to living wills and other planning steps to take us to age happily.

    July 25th:  Summertime - How much sun is too much? (asking for a friend).  Discuss your favorite summertime activities, memories & places to visit at this meeting.
