    Young at Art Studio is hosting a fundraiser for The LOFT for LOFT Families & The Rainbow Clubhouse.

    There will be two art workshops based on age, as well as some time for families to mingle. Schedule Below:

    Kids ages 2 to 5 workshop: 10:30am-11:30am

    Family Mingling & Refreshments: 11:30am-12:00pm

    Kids in Kindergarten to 5th grade workshop: 12:00pm-1:00pm

    Suggested ticket donation of $20 per child. 100% of donations support The LOFT.

    MUST RSVP to reserve your space & purchase your ticket. 

    Parents/guardians can do the workshop for free with their kids. Supervision necessary for children ages 2-5. 

    Every kid will make their own castle to take home! Example of castle made is below.

    Transgender Peer Support Group

    The Transgender Peer Support Group is an open topic group run by a trained facilitator for individuals who identify as transgender, transsexual, cross-dresser, gender variant, gender queer or intersex (18 and older). Partners of transgender group participants are also welcome.

    This group takes place the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month from 5:30pm to 7:00pm

    Next Meetings:

    Sunday, February 3rd and February 17th (at 4:00pm)
    Saturday, February 9th and February 23rd  (at 5:30pm)


    LOFT Peer Support Groups are open topic drop-in groups. There is no need to preregister and no fee to attend. Donations are welcome. They are led by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance.

    There is no fee to attend discussion groups but a $5 donation is suggested, more if you can, less if you can’t.  Fees related to activities are to the responsibility of participants.

    Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an open and supportive group of people seeking to handle and recover from their problematic drinking.

    Entertainment at Eight

    Entertainment at Eight is a film screening group, which gathers twice a month to watch and discuss both contemporary and classic LGBT and mainstream films.

    Entertainment at Eight takes place on the 2nd & 4th Saturday evenings of each month at 8:00pm.

    Veg Out Potluck

    Join us in celebrating the joys of eating delicious plant-based foods. Feast on scrumptious dishes prepared by other LGBT folks and friends.  This is a great opportunity to share your favorite vegan dish or learn a new one!

    Please bring a dish that doesn’t include milk, cheese, eggs, honey or meat. Kitchen facilities will be available to reheat items. Paper goods and serving utensils will be provided.

    The Veg Out Potluck will take place on the last Sunday of each month at 4:00pm-6:00pm at The LOFT.

    The LOFT: LGBTQ community center in white plains, NY

    Artists LOFT

    The Artists LOFT is a fun night out to let your creativity flow.  Come and meet new people and do something exciting through art activities. The group will meet on select Mondays of from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the center. 

    The 1st Monday meeting will feature an art workshop.  Art can take many forms, drawing, sculpture, painting, music, poetry, dance, performance, the possibilities are really endless. Through activities, guest speakers and inspiring one another, the group will explore a different art medium each workshop evening.  Topics will be selected based on the interests of the group's participants and publicized in advance. 

    The 2nd Monday meeting will feature Thrift Flip.  Have you seen the design show Flea Market Flipon HGTV...this is the same concept of taking items from The LOFT's thrift stop and reinventing them. We will give new life to items in Memorial Thrift Shop, the sales of these items support The LOFT and MUMC. 

     

    No artistic experience necessary (this is a judgement free zone, especially on yourself) and materials will be provided. 

    Come and join us to let your inner artist out!
