The true strength of any organization rests in its membership, and
The LOFT is no exception. While we are justifiably proud of our
constituency, it represents in total just a fraction of the estimated
100,000 gay, lesbian, and bisexual residents living in the lower
Hudson Valley.
The LOFT depends on the support and generous donations of its members
in order to continue to offer the activities and services which
serve our community. Won't you become a member today?
The LOFT announced new, enhanced membership levels
which took effect July 1, 2006. After speaking with various personal
and business members, the Board adopted a new membership structure
that offers both incentives and recognition for those who choose
to support The LOFT at levels that were not previously available.
Business
membership has been expanded to four levels from the current one
level. The basic Business Membership will remain at $300, but
new levels are added at $500 (Business Patron), $1000 (Corporate
Sponsor) and $5000 (Business Leadership Council).
Business Membership will now include the following benefits:
 | Continued free listing in CNews. |
| 20% discount on all CNews and Pride Guide ads. |
| Membership at the $300 and $500 level includes membership for two. |
| Membership at $1,000 and above entitles membership for five employees. |
| Membership fee discounted by 25% for any business member successful in getting another business to join. |
| Dedicated LOFT bulletin board space by business members. (Except for
business cards, postings by non-business members will not be allowed.) |
| Free listing in the business section (under construction) of our website. |
| Space allocated at The LOFT for business cards of business members only. |
| Free listing in the proposed Local Business Directory and 20% discount on any ad in the Directory. |
| Semi-annual business luncheon/brunch with the President/Board to discuss
how to promote gay owned/friendly business. One of these two
meetings may be coupled with an invitation to local politicians. |

and be recognized in CNews. |
| Executive and Leadership Council Members will receive two free
tickets to every LOFT event, other than New Year’s Eve
and Gala functions. |
Current members will automatically be entitled to all benefits available
at that level. Anyone who chooses to upgrade will have any dues
already paid applied to the new, higher level.
The Board spent a great deal of time and energy to find ways of adding
additional value to your membership and this structure is the
result. Many thanks to all who helped in this effort. While we
look forward to increasing participation at every membership level,
we continue to be greatly appreciative of every member we have,
especially in these trying economic times.
