Ryan Kirrane joined the LOFT as the Volunteer Coordinator very recently. Ryan has a passion for volunteering and a dedicated commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
Ryan graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelors in Psychology (2017). At Geneseo, he served as President of his school's co-ed community service fraternity in which he coordinated safe-zone events and oversaw the 4,000+ hours of community service the fraternity completed every semester. These safe-zone events brought in outside facilitators to educate members of the fraternity about the LGBT+ community, as well as discuss topics such as homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism. During his time at Geneseo, Ryan also served as a Resident Assistant (RA) and was an active member of his research group with the head of the Psychology Department.
Ryan loves reading any book that he can get his hands on, as well as going on hikes. He also loves hanging out with his dog, Layla, and his cat, Kitty.
