The LOFT Mourns the Passing of Rev. Rayner W. Hesse, Jr.

The LOFT is sad to share the news of the passing of Rev. Rayner W. Hesse, Jr. Affectionately known as "Rusty," he was very much involved in the life of Westchester County and The LOFT, where he served as Vice President on the center’s Board of Directors.  Rusty put the “fun” in fundraising with his elaborate auctions held to raise money for the center. He served as rector of St. John's Wilmot New Rochelle for 17 years, as priest at other parishes in lower Westchester, and as chaplain at Hartsdale Pet Cemetery. He semi-retired in 2013 to Bethany Beach, Delaware, near his childhood hometown in Maryland. In hospice care for the past few weeks, Rusty had been diagnosed last year with an aggressive form of dementia.

May we hold Rusty's spouse, Anthony Chiffolo, in our hearts and prayers, as well as their daughter, Lisa Chiffolo.
The LOFT will keep the community informed of celebrations of Rusty's life as details become available.

Rest In Pride.
