Come join us for an exciting evening with author Steven Salvatore, co-facilitator of The LOFT's Writers Workshop as we celebrate the launch of their debut novel, "Can't Take That Away" published by Bloomsbury.

Come and learn about Steven's experience in publishing with a major publisher, tips on getting published, and best of all, enjoy a reading from their novel!

CAN’T TAKE THAT AWAY is about Carey Parker, a genderqueer student who dreams of being a diva like their hero Mariah Carey, but when they are cast in the lead female role in the school musical, they face discrimination from a teacher, a few parents, and their tormentor, and are removed from the show. Carey must learn that in order to be their authentic self, they will have to find their voice, rally their friends, and fight against injustices from a closed-minded school administration.

LOFT Peer Support Groups are open topic, drop-in groups. Groups are led by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance. There is no need to preregister and no fee to attend.

Donations are welcome. Suggested donation is $5; more if you can, less if you can't. Fees related to activities are the responsibility of participants.
