Preparing for Weather Emergencies: A Resource Guide for Westchester County
by Jessica Guiracocha, Health Promotion and Education intern from Lehman College
We've experienced our fair share of unpredictable and even dangerous weather conditions recently.
Join us for a discussion on tips and local resources available to best prepare for the next winter storm or natural disaster!
What you will learn at this meeting?
* Tips for storm preparedness
* How to locate emergency resources such as shelter and warming stations
* Where you can go to make sure your furry family members are safe during weather emergencies
We'll also be gearing up for summer weather by making sure you know how to stay healthy and safe through these rising temperatures!
The LOFT's Silver Connections program is made possible by grants from the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services, New York State Department of Health, New York State Office for Aging, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
