OUTWalking March 2022

Edith G. Read Wildlife Sanctuary | 1 Playland Parkway, Rye, NY | Sunday March 26, 2023 | 10:00-12:00 PM

Join us as we explore the 127 acres of scenic Read Wildlife Sanctuary. We will hike approximately 4 miles and take in gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound. This is an easy hike and the trails are suitable for most skill levels. Please note that the entrance to the sanctuary is through the parking entrance to Rye Playland. Parking is free during the off season. We will be parking in the main parking lot to Playland right in front of the roller coaster that borders the back of the parking lot. From there we will walk to the sanctuary.

Artists' LOFT: Two Events

TWO Artist LOFT Events!

DIY Queer Paper Mache Activist & Icons
Monday, March 20th, 2023 | 6:30pm - 8:30pm at The LOFT

Paper mache, which is derived from papier-mâché, or "chewed paper" in French, is a sculpting medium composed of paper pieces that have been bound together by an adhesive paste.  For this activity, we will be using these techniques to make your own paper mache of a Queer Activist or Icon. 

March 2023 Artists LOFT Outing: Hudson River Museum | Matrix: Prints by Women Artists, 1960–1990 | Sunday, March 29th, 2023 | 1pm - 2pm at Hudson River Museum

Matrix explores a period of experimentation in printmaking among women artists, who used the art form as a means of creative expression and also a way to enter the male-dominated art market.
