Silver Connections Open House

Siver Connections is The LOFT's LGBT 55+ Senior Outreach Program.

Silver Connections is designed to encourage socialization and continued learning in adults, 55 and older. The group holds meetings focused around learning new topics and skills, intergenerational conversation, peer support, and community outings.


 Silver Connections hosts two Open Houses on the 2nd Saturday & 4th Tuesday of each month. These meetings feature a community presenter and lite lunch, and run from 11:30am to 1:00pm.

Queer History: Amazing Stories You Never Heard (And Why They Matter)

with author and history enthusiast, Sarah Prager

A Civil War soldier, a Swedish queen, a President, a blues singer, a painter, a Roman emperor.  Learn the unbelievable but true stories of some of the queerest and most influential people in history you probably never heard of.

Our heritage is much richer than we imagined.

Everyone, from novices to the experienced, will learn something new and how to use this knowledge as an activist tool.
