Something to Be Proud of: A Panel Discussion on the Past, Present, and Future of LGBTQ+ Rights

State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins
and State Senator Shelley B. Mayer will co-host an online Pride Month event, entitled
Something to Be Proud of: A Panel Discussion on the Past, Present, and Future of
LGBTQ+ Rights.


The discussion will focus on the impact of progress made on LGBTQ+ issues in New York State
and what still needs to be done. How can New York continue to break down barriers and be a
beacon for hope and progress?


Panelists will include:

Yonkers City Council Chief of Staff Brentin Bullock

Judy Troilo, Executive Director of The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center

Winter Rhett, WJCS Center Lane Youth Ambassador

An informational session on
services provided by the Westchester Human Rights Commission and Legal Services of the
Hudson Valley will follow the panel discussion.
