Trans Support Workshop Series

Trans Support of the Hudson Valley (TSHV) hosts a workshop social each month with a community presenter, time to socialize, snacks, and free HIV & Hep C Virus (HCV) testing.

Trans Support Workshops are exclusively for transgender, gender non-conforming, or non-binary (TGNCNB) folx and their partners. TGNCNB individuals who are tested for HIV & HCV will receive a $25 gift card.

A poetry event that focuses on Black queer and Trans Artist who will be sharing their art and their experiences. This event will also be holding space for other poets who want to share their art with the audience.

Poetry is one of the most beautiful forms of storytelling and some of the greatest storytellers are Black and Queer. Black History Month is a period of reflection and celebration and we want to celebrate our Black queer and trans artist, and all poets at this event!

The Hudson Valley Trans Forum (HVTF) is a free, in-person & virtual, 2-day conference centered on education, advocacy & empowerment for TGNCNB communities and allies.


Transtober Fest is an outdoor fall-themed fair for transgender, gender non-conforming & non-binary (TGNCNB) community of all ages. (under 18 attendees must be accompanied by an adult)

Friends & family of TGNCNB community members are welcome.

TGNCNB Health Workshop

Join the Know Better, Live Better workshop that focuses on managing health disparities as it relates to Transgender, Gender Non Conforming and the Nonbinary Community.

Know Better, Live Better is an initiative to promote community well-being and reduce health disparities in Westchester County. The program takes an evidence-based “trusted messenger” approach, which relies on a group of trustworthy Westchester residents to open discussions about disease prevention, finding health information, and accessing health services. 

This event is tailored for our TGNCNB Community and will take place as our monthly TSHV Workshop.


The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center welcomes you to its third annual celebration of International Non-Binary Day with Non-Binary Night Out.  Come meet friends, mix mingle and enjoy an evening of lite food and a welcoming community. Open to all, RSVP is greatly appreciated.


Topic: Trans Clothing Swap

Guest Speaker: Designers Sergio Guadarrama & Kade Johnson

Join us at Thrift 2 Fight's new store in Tivoli, NY for a trans clothing swap! As trans folx, building a new wardrobe can be daunting. This event offers you a chance to get rid of your old clothes and exchange them for new, gender-affirming ones. Designers Sergio Guadarrama and Kade Johnson will be available to offer styling advice and tips on how to craft your new look. Thrift 2 Fight will have additional clothing for sale and our partners at Trans Closet of the Hudson Valley will be bringing gender-affirming supplies, like binders and make-up. As always, this event will also be an opportunity to meet and connect with other trans folx, while enjoying food, refreshments, and music. 


Topic: Finding Safe & Affordable Rentals for the TGNCNB Community

Guest Speakers: Shain Filcher, Esq. and Tanya P. Dwyer, Esq.

How can tenants avoid popular scams in the Hudson Valley, and what are their rights when considering renting from a building that is either for sale or actively in foreclosure? Lawyers Shain Filcher and Tanya P. Dwyer hold a fireside chat for transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary folx looking to find affordable housing.


Topic: Beyond the Binary: A Journey to Self-Love and Acceptance 

Guest Speaker: Tony Ferraiolo

Join Tony Ferraiolo as he takes you on his personal journey beyond the binary that led him to self-love and acceptance. Ferraiolo will share with his audience, how he learned to accept himself and how working with transgender and non-binary youth helped him heal his own heart. Tony will also bring you along for an exploration of his work with trans youth, told through the eyes of the youth themselves as he shares drawings from his book series “Artistic Expression of Transgender Youth.” Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a copy of one of Tony's books!
