This first episode of Forward & Out premiered in January 1994 and features Dr. Zelle Andrews and Lester Goldstein, then co-presidents of The LOFT: Lesbian & Gay Community Services Center (as it was known then) in White Plains, New York. Interviewed by host Eileen Karn, Zelle and Lester tell the story of The LOFT's origins as well as its mission and the work it was doing for the lesbian and gay community. The LOFT was a sponsor of Forward & Out, and it is still in existence today working hard for LGBT rights.
