Trans and Gender Expansive in the Workplace: Job Seeking, Employment and Career Planning
Robyn Schlesinger | Lucky Hernandez |
Workshop Description: This program explores the ever-changing state of the workplace for persons who identify/express as trans/gender expansive.
A recent US Supreme Court decision extended Title VII protection to trans individuals, adding to existing protections in 23 states. This program will describe your rights under the law and discuss practical matters, such as employment searches. What are the considerations for resumes, interviews and references? How may a job or career search differ for someone who is trans or gender expansive?
Discussion Format: The format will be speaker presentation and discussion.
