Trans Accountable Leadership: A Community Conversation

Alex Francisco Loren Klein

Workshop Description: Updated from last year with fresh insights, this conversational workshop will focus on generating actionable solutions for Trans and Non-Binary, as well as cisgender, professionals. Together we will address questions like: How does your organization make decisions about TGNCNB programming and policies?  Are TGNCNB People of Color in positions of power and authority within your organization? How do you recognize and resource the work of un-paid community organizers who have been keeping TGNCNB people alive and building the national movement for decades? Does your organization hire trans people?

Workshop Format: In this workshop we will discuss what accountability means through an anti-oppression, social justice lens. We will share successes and failures of accountable leadership relevant to both cisgender and Trans/Non-Binary leaders.
