When: August 13th at 1:00pm
Where148 Martine Avenue, White Plains, NY, 10601 (8th Floor Committee Room)
Please arrive early as it will take time to go through building security.

A law banning the damaging practice of gay conversion therapy in Westchester County has been proposed. The LGBTQ Advisory Board has been invited to discuss the bill with the Committees on Legislation and Social Services and your presence is needed!

Supporters of the legislation are invited to stand with the LGBTQ Advisory Board at this meeting. Help us demonstrate the community backing for this bill banning conversion therapy.

The law to ban health professionals from administering conversion therapy was proposed by Westchester County Executive George Latimer. The practice has been discredited by reputable mental health organizations, and bans have already been enacted in New York City and Albany. We hope that Westchester will follow suit.

The meeting will also be streamed live on the County Board's webpage.

For those further interested in the recent swell of anti-conversion therapy activism, the new film The Miseducation of Cameron Post shines a light on the topic.

The LOFT's Out at the Movies group is going to a screening of the film at the Alamo Drafthouse on August 10th at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at 8:00PM. Please meet in the lobby at 7:45PM at The LOFT Resource Table! Tickets are $13.75 a person.
