Mpox Resources

As of 12/1/2022 The CDC and WHO have referenced an official name change of monkeypox, now being referred to as mpox.  Our website reflects this change, but also has older material that refers to mpox using the older names, "monkeypox" or "mpv." Moving forward, all references will use "mpox."

Westchester resources where you can get vaccinated:

  • Westchester County Department of Health is also holding MPV vaccine clinics, click here to learn more. 
  • Westchester Medical Center is also holding vaccine clinics as well, click here to learn more.
  • Mount Vernon Neighbourhood Health Center, Inc. : Use their 24-hour number 914 885-6529 to schedule appointments, we also take walk-ins and can register walk-ins for the Monkeypox and administer at our site as well.
  • Open Door Medical Clinic (Ossining): The vaccine clinic is at the Ossining location for people who do not have their care established at Open Door. People can call 914-632-2737 and request an appt with Dr. Chen-Illamos. Please be advised that these appts are with clinicians and not nurse visits as it was for the Covid vaccine.
  • The HOPE Center (Yonkers) The HOPE Center is dispersing Monkey Pox Vaccines once a week, the individual must call to schedule an appointment at 914-705-3438 and speak with the Assistant Director Lorens Hidalgo. The HOPE Center does offer Monkey Pox testing but only for HOPE Center patients.
