Trans Support of the Hudson Valley (TSHV) is a free program proudly offered by The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center, operating from our White Plains, NY campus.

Our program is led by Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Non-Binary (TGNCNB) folx, working alongside dedicated community allies to serve and support the trans and gender-expansive communities across Putnam, Rockland, Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Westchester, and Sullivan counties. Let us help you find the answers, support, and community you deserve. Transitioning can take many forms and often feels like an ongoing process. We understand that transitioning is a deeply personal and evolving journey. Transitions can happen socially, legally, and physically, and we’re here to help you navigate them.
Name Change Assistance
We provide free support to both adult and youth community members residing in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York* who are seeking to legally change their name and/or gender marker on various governmental documents.
Workshop Socials
Our monthly workshops cover a variety of dynamic themes and rotate locations. Free food and HIV/Hepatitis C testing are available at these events.
Health Support
We offer links to services such as gender-affirming primary healthcare providers, PrEP/PEP, HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing, and therapy.
Housing Assistance
For those experiencing housing challenges, we provide free resources and referrals to develop a plan for securing safe, long-term housing or independent living.

LOFT Peer Support Groups are open-topic, drop-in groups. Groups are led by facilitators who identify as peers with those in attendance.
Donations are welcome. Suggested donation is $5; more if you can, less if you can't.
