For over 40 years, the LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center has been a pillar for those seeking connection, resources, and refuge. The LOFT has empowered individuals to feel seen, valued, and supported, and is proud to serve a community of thousands in Westchester County. The LOFT’s current facility has reached its capacity, limiting our ability to meet increasing needs. To ensure we can provide essential programs, services, and support for our growing community, we are embarking on a bold project: building a new home, a NEW Foundation of Pride—that will expand our capacity to serve, uplift, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
Our new 8,000-square-foot building will offer increased space for The LOFT’s programs and services, and will be designed specifically to the needs of the center, and will include space for an on-site medical and mental health provider, specializing in primary care for LGBTQ+ individuals. Located within Westchester’s first LGBTQ+-friendly senior housing development, the LOFT will own its new space as a business condominium, and the location will be easily accessible by public transportation.
This expansion is not just about more space—it’s about more opportunities. More opportunities for connection. More opportunities for advocacy. More opportunities for healing. And ultimately, more opportunities for every LGBTQ+ individual to thrive.
We can’t wait to show you what our future looks like!
