"Obsidian Voices" | Poetry Event |  Purchase College in the Harbor Room | February 17th-Friday | 6:30pm-8:30pm | Featuring Njambi Morgan and Cole Rivers

A poetry event that focuses on Black queer and Trans Artists who will be sharing their art and their experiences. This event will also be holding space for other poets who want to share their art with the audience. Poetry is one of the most beautiful forms of storytelling and some of the greatest storytellers are Black and Queer. Black History Month is a period of reflection and celebration and we want to celebrate our Black queer and trans artist, and all poets at this event!

The LOFT Thanks US Representative Mondaire Jones

The LOFT LGBT Community Center was able to thank Rep. Mondaire Jones in person for securing critical funding for our new center.

"The LOFT is celebrating 40 years of existence and the ability to finally secure a permanent home is truly an amazing anniversary gift! We cannot thank Congressman Jones enough for the incredible level of leadership and support he has shown to the LGBTQ+ Community here in Westchester County. This funding is critical to the completion of our new center, allowing us to continue the work of empowering our entire LGBTQ+ Community,” says Judy Troilo, Executive Director for The LOFT.

Dr Gottlock Speaks at next PFLAG

PFLAG will be hosting a special In-Person (or Virtual) event at The LOFT: Monday, January 23 at 7:30.

“What every LGBT person should ask their doctor about their health” with Dr. Robbins Gottlock, MD.

Dr. Robbins Gottlock will discuss the most pressing and unique healthcare challenges and opportunities facing LGBT individuals. He will highlight specific interventions and screenings that members of the LGBT community should discuss with their primary care provider.
