Purpose of the Position

The LOFT is expanding its reach into the digital universe and seeks to create greater opportunities for online community engagement.  As a digital content producer you will provide the value of helping us connect with content.  The content you create will have a direct impact on our ability to create conversation, engagement, advocacy and raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is new to digital content production and looking to add direct work experience to their resume. 

Responsibilities & Duties

A Digital Content Producer will be involved in the generation, creation and distribution of original online media content that can be in a variety of forms including written copy, photography, video, infographics and graphic design.  

Your interests can be singular or any combination of the above.

Qualifications

A strong passion for learning digital content production, being team focused, and reliable is required.

While not required, some experience with social media platforms, blogging and content creation software is highly desired, including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and blogging.

Time Commitment

Time schedule is scalable by week, but a 2 hour minimum per week is requested.

Training

All Training is provided, free of charge

Volunteer Onboard Training for The LOFT is required before any volunteer begins work. 

Editorial, content development training will be provided based on project and volunteer’s level of experience.
