Jamaul Webster

Jamaul Webster (he/him/his) serves as Chief Development Officer at Educational Alliance where he helps to develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy for a nonprofit network of community centers in downtown Manhattan, with over 600 employees, serving nearly 50,000 New Yorkers annually across 15 program sites. He is a member of the Educational Alliance’s highly collaborative executive team. Rooted in his commitment to service and social justice, he has worked at various nonprofit organizations striving to improve the lives of others and promote positive change.

Previously Jamaul served as a Vice President for Development at Teach For America where he led all fundraising activities across New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. In this role he strived to advance educational excellence and equity, helping to expand opportunity and access for children. Prior to his time at Teach For America he served as a Senior Director for Principal & Major Gifts at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where he led a national team of development professionals and supported the organization’s CEO in donor engagement and relationship building. Jamaul is adept at development strategy, board affairs and mentoring teams. He has over sixteen years’ experience in non-profit fundraising — having worked in advocacy, educational and cultural institutions.

For over twelve years, Jamaul has been a volunteer with the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ advocacy organization in the country. In addition to service in his local community, nationally he has served as a member, vice chair and chair of their Board of Governors and he currently serves as a member of their Board of Directors.

Jamaul lives with his husband, Stephen, and their dog, Albee, just outside of New York City in Westchester County. He graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies.
