Dear Friends,

As many of you know, our governor has officially opened New York State back up, lifting all remaining Covid-19 restrictions as the state has surpassed its goal of having 70% of residents at least partially vaccinated against the virus.

It's with great pleasure to announce that The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center will be opening its doors on July 1, 2021.  Our campus will once again resume in-person business hours.

The LOFT’s Cyber Center and Library will be open during our normal business hours for those who need access to computers, the internet, or for members looking for something to read from our extensive LGBTQ+ catalog of literature.

If you wish to visit the staff or meet with someone, in particular, we kindly request that you call first to arrange an appointment to guarantee that the LOFT staff member you are visiting will be physically available to meet with you.

Now is an excellent time for in-person volunteering opportunities.  If you are interested in resuming or volunteering for the first time, please give Ryan Kiranne, our Community Engagement Manager a call (914-948-2932 ext. 14) or e-mail [email protected] to discuss in-person volunteer opportunities.

We are also systemically reviewing all our groups and programs to identify the first in-person date for each of them. We will also determine which groups will continue virtually as well. We will be updating the community as soon as those times become available.

The easiest and fastest way to get the latest updates is to sign up for our e-blast on our website (loftgaycenter.org) or follow us on social media Facebook: @TheLOFTLGBTCenter or Instagram:@loftlgbtq.

As groups and our community come together to resume in-person activities, we also want everyone to remember that we must adhere to CDC and New York State Guidelines.  Anyone who is not vaccinated must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  For those who are vaccinated, guidelines state they are not required to mask or socially distance.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person soon. We have missed you!

Yours in Pride,

Judy
