OUT at the Movies schedules group outings to films of interest to the local LGBTQ+ community.

Join us on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 to see the film "TÁR" at the Jacob Burns Film Center, 364 Manville Road, Pleasantville, NY 10570. The Out at the Movies group will be joined by The LOFT LSN group (Lesbian Social Network). 

The group meets at 1pm in the theater lobby. The movie screening begins at 1:30 pm. Film run time 2hrs, 38 mins. Following the film, those interested are welcome to discuss it at a local eatery. 

All attendees with The LOFT group will receive a coupon compliments of JBFC for a free popcorn & drink!

Synopsis

From writer-producer-director Todd Field comes TÁR, starring Cate Blanchett as Lydia Tár, the groundbreaking conductor of a major German Orchestra. We meet Tár at the height of her career, as she's preparing both a book launch and much-anticipated live performance of Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Over the ensuing weeks her life begins to unravel in a singularly modern way. The result is a searing examination of power, and its impact and durability in today's society.
