Sampson Oppedisano (he/him/his) joined The LOFT in 2025 and brings a diverse professional background spanning the New York State Assembly, higher education, foreign policy, and the nonprofit sectors. Known for his adaptability and ability to build genuine and meaningful connections with others, Sampson prides himself on his strong sense of mindfulness and emotional intelligence—qualities that allow him to navigate complex environments and foster inclusive, supportive spaces.
Before joining The LOFT, Sampson served as the Program Assistant & Social Media Manager for the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, where he played a key role in organizing over 25 diplomatic dialogues between the United States, China, Taiwan, and many other nations on critical security issues. In addition to his programmatic work, he spearheaded the Committee’s social media strategy, significantly expanding its online presence and engagement. From 2017 to 2021, he was also a contributing writer for China-US Focus, where he explored diverse topics related to U.S.-China relations, foreign policy, and security.
Sampson holds a degree in International Relations and East Asian Studies from SUNY New Paltz and is an alumnus of the highly selective SUNY Global Engagement Program. He also earned an Executive Training Certificate in International Affairs from the United Nations Association’s Worldview Institute.
