The House and Ballroom community has served as a safe space for LGBTQ+ people across the gender spectrum to explore their identities, expression and performance. In this discussion, we will deep-dive into the complexity of both the affirmation and work that needs to be done by, and with, the community. Panelists include the Legendary Founding Mother Gillette Oricci (House of Oricci), Milan Garçon, and Mermaid Garçon (House of Comme des Garçons). The program will be moderated by FX’s Pose choreographer, LGBTQ+ youth advocate and House and Ballroom Legend Twiggy Pucci Garçon.
As part of the program, Twiggy, Gillette, Milan and Mermaid will present an original runway production specially designed for Westchester Pride 2022 followed by the annual Homecoming Queer walk-off to be judged by these legendary artists.
