Under the temporary law, taxpayers don't need to itemize deductions on their tax returns to take advantage of this, which creates tax-favorable donation options not normally available to about 90 percent of tax filers.
Ordinarily, people who choose to take the standard deduction cannot claim a deduction for their charitable contributions. But this special provision permits them to claim a limited deduction on their 2021 federal income tax returns for cash contributions made to qualifying charitable organizations by year's end, December 31, 2021.

The nearly 2-year-old pandemic has ripped apart so many lives, and this is especially true for the LGBTQ+ Community. We are only beginning to gain a sense of the widespread misery that it has brought to so many.
What we do know is that we, here, at The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center are here to help.
We are here to meet the unprecedented level of need that so many in our community are experiencing.
COVID has affected the LGBTQ+ in varying ways depending on the person and it has demanded a comprehensive response because everyone matters and no one should be made to suffer hardship alone.
This is why we developed "OUR STORIES" a compilation of 4 stories of people from the LGBTQ+ spectrum whose lives were affected by the pandemic and how The LOFT can assist with these needs. In order to do all of this, we need your help.
