Session Description

Non-Binary 101 will discuss basics regarding the non-binary and gender non conforming communities. The presentation will include a discussion on different terminology the community uses, meanings, gender fluidity, and prevalence, among other introductory topics.

Audience

This workshop is intended for anyone new to learning about the non-binary and gender non conforming communities. All are welcome.

About the presenter

Shepard Verbas is The LOFT's Manager of Programs and Services, and a non-binary community member. Shepard manages The LOFT's Silver Connections, 55+ LGBT outreach program, peer support groups, The LOFT's Helpline, and Intimate Partner Violence LGBTQ advocacy program, among others. The LOFT provides many specialized cultural competency trainings to professionals and students which Shepard often leads.
