Family Services of Westchester and Open Door Family Medical Centers are partnering with ArtsWestchester to create a Healing through the Arts project, a creative and unique mental health arts-engagement program to aid in the mental well-being of our community. Individuals of all ages will engage in creative tile-making which will be woven together in a community mural as its final outcome. The goal is to strengthen community engagement and collaboration in order to overcome the negative effects that our community has sustained over the past year.
Project Hope has been tasked with finding programs and locations that would like to participate in this project, like The LOFT. ArtsWestchester will provide the Art Instructor and supplies. Project Hope will provide the Crisis Counselors to be at each workshop to provide emotional support. All materials for the art project will be provided, just come feeling inspired to create.
