Transfeminity in 1960's Japan

OUT at The Movies: Pride Screening of Funeral Parade of Roses, Q&A with writer Kyle Turner| Monday, June 26th Screening at 7:00pm followed by Q&A | Jacob Burns Film Center | Free Tickets Available

Join us for an exciting film that delves into TransFeminine identities in 1960's Japan! Long unavailable in the U.S., director Toshio Matsumoto’s shattering, kaleidoscopic masterpiece is one of the most subversive and intoxicating films of the late 1960s: a headlong dive into a dazzling, unseen Tokyo night world of drag queen bars and fabulous divas, fueled by booze, drugs, fuzz guitars, performance art and black mascara. Stanley Kubrick cited the film as a direct influence on his own dystopian classic A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

Free tickets available, email [email protected] (first come, first serve-while supplies last).

Gather Ye Rosebuds for Pride!

There are only 10 more days of Pride Month left! How lucky are we to live and celebrate in an LGBTQ+ affirming area!? The Lower Hudson Valley has exploded with Pride events all month long and even if you missed the big ones like Westchester Pride or Yonkers Pride, there are still many other events to attend. Whether you want something small, or specific, or large like NYC Pride, there's something for everyone.

Check our resource guide that has the complete list!
