Come explore the picturesque and historic grounds of Untermyer Gardens, one of the few free botanical gardens in the country! Untermyer Gardens began in 1916 as the private gardens of Samuel Untermyer, a prominent lawyer in the area. The gardens once stretched over 150 acres and were frequently opened for public visitation. Today the gardens are a smaller, but picturesque 43 acres, and features historic architecture, old wooded carriage trails, and the charming gardens. This is an easy walk of about 2 miles.
