LOFT Edu features various adult education courses for the LGBTQ+ community, delivered right here at the center.

Cabaret Performance Workshops come to Westchester!!

For over a decade, Manhattan Cabaret Arts has been teaching, directing, and producing cabaret performance workshops in NYC.

Eadie Scott of Manhattan Cabaret Arts will be directing/teaching their first cabaret workshop in Westchester beginning November 2022, with a performance in January 2023.
Eadie works with an amazing Westchester based pianist named Kathryn Krull and she can play anything.

If you love to sing, if you have ever dreamed of performing on a stage, if you have left your creativity on the back burner for too long, this workshop is for you!

The classes will be at The LOFT in White Plains on Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8pm
We will be having the performance at Maureen’s Jazz Cellar in Nyack on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in January.
What a wonderful event to look forward to - starting the New Year singing at a Jazz Club!
So, there will be 6 weeks of a 2 hour class.
Each person will work on 2-3 songs for the final performance.
Over the 6 weeks of class, we will work on everything from song selection, to the proper key for you, vocal adjustments, microphone use, patter between the songs, and more!

The proposed dates are:
November 30,
December 7, 14, 21, (Dec. 28 off for the Holidays)
January 4, 11
With the performance on either Saturday or Sunday afternoon January 14th or 15th.

The cost will be $350 for the whole shebang - and you will receive a great jpeg of a flyer you can send to friends and family to come and see you shine.
