Sarah Mazzella (she/her/hers) has joined the team at The LOFT as an Administrative Assistant. Sarah will be supporting the organization's Executive & Deputy Director, as well as getting involved with learning about the organization's fundraising programs, advocacy youth programs, and wherever else support is needed. 

Prior to joining The LOFT, Sarah kept her skills honed as a stay-at-home mother, managing a household consisting of two children, two dogs, two cats, and most recently two parakeets and keeping harmony within her home alongside her adoring husband.

Discovering a passion for advocacy in the LGBTQIA+ community as her youngest child came out as non-binary at the tender age of 6, Sarah realized the need and absence of education programs within the school, a need for safe bathroom space, and began a quest to create it. After successfully joining forces with her children's local Westchester elementary school to bring in a gender-inclusive curriculum and install a gender-neutral bathroom, it was time to broaden those goals and find a way to make a personal passion into a professional one.
