Learning Rainbow
Curious about LGBTQ+ terminology or just want to feel more confident in navigating conversations around gender and sexuality? Come join us for a relaxed, informative session where we’ll break down common LGBTQ+ terms, go over pronouns (including neo-pronouns), and discuss how to create inclusive spaces—especially for older members of the community.
What You’ll Learn:
LGBTQ+ Lingo Made Easy:
Not sure what some terms mean? No problem! We’ll explain common terms and concepts around gender and sexuality, so you can feel confident in your understanding and conversations.
All About Pronouns:
We’ll dive into pronouns—why they’re important, how to use them, and even touch on neo-pronouns. Plus, we’ll give you tips on how to handle those conversations with ease and respect.
Talking About Gender & Sexuality:
Let’s make discussing gender and sexuality more comfortable! We’ll go over simple ways to talk about these topics that are inclusive and affirming for everyone.
Special Focus on Our Older LGBTQ+ Members:
We’ll also highlight the experiences and needs of older LGBTQ+ folks. Whether you’ve mastered LGBTQ+ language or are still a little unsure, being a part this part of the session is all about understanding everyone's unique journey.
Oh, and Lunch is On Us!
Enjoy a special lunch while connecting with others in a casual, welcoming environment. It’s the perfect chance to chat, share experiences, and learn together.
