NOW is the time to show off those design skills! Westchester Pride, the official celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride for Westchester County is looking for a special design to put on for Westchester Pride! The winner will receive $150...and bragging rugfhts!

Unity Table Art & Music Show & Tell Party | Sunday, April 30th from 11:30am-1pm | Free to attend

Join The LOFT's artists in residence Chrstina Picciano and Sphynxx as we explore the arts and music with a show and tell. Connect with others by bringing a favorite creative arts item (song, photo, concert tee shirt, instrument, painting, etc) while sharing its impact. This can be your own creation or a piece by someone else that has meaning for you. We will also have the capability to view items/videos online if your item is digitized or not easy to transport to the center.

Unity Table is a potluck event so bring a dish of something (or not) and immerse yourself in the arts and community!

Please note that the group normally meets on the 2nd Sunday but has been moved this month due to the holidays.

Improv & Comedy Night | April 29-Saturday 6-8 PM | Black Cow Coffee-Croton on Hudson | $15.00

Looking for an evening of hilarity and fun, while also supporting The LGBTQ+ Community, then join "Improv & Comedy Night!" Blind Tiger Improv joins the fabulous drag queen DD and stand-up comic Sadé Amsterdam for a night of comedy at the Black Cow Coffee House in Croton-on-Hudson. A portion of the proceeds go to Hudson Valley’s Loft LGBTQ+ Center. Admission is $15, available at the door. @dragqueentours @loftlgbtq

 Joyland explores the many sides of love and desire in a patriarchal society. Gentle and timid Haider (Ali Junejo) lives with his wife Mumtaz (Rasti Farooq), his father, and his elder brother’s family in Lahore, Pakistan. Following a long spell of unemployment, Haider finally lands a job at a Bollywood-style burlesque, telling his family he is a theater manager, when in actuality he is a backup dancer. This unusual position shakes up the steadfast traditional dynamics of his household, enabling Haider to break out of his shell. As he acclimates to the new job, Haider becomes infatuated with the strong-willed trans woman Biba (Alina Khan) who runs the show; an unforeseen partnership that opens his eyes—and ultimately his worldview—in ways both unexpected and intimate.
