Judy Troilo Ranked 80 in 100 most Powerful Leaders in Westchester

Marks First Time an LGBTQ+ Community Center Leader Makes The Cut

The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center is proud to share that Executive Director, Judy Troilo was ranked in The 2023 Westchester 100 by City and State NY Magazine. The list is a who's who of the suburban county’s most influential leaders!

According to City & State NY: "Before Judy Troilo became the executive director of The Loft, the county’s largest LGBTQ+ service provider, the organization was not the community staple it is today. Under Troilo, The Loft has increased its operating budget by 400% and tripled its staff to run its over 100 free programs, services and events. In June 2022, Troilo and Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced the groundbreaking of a new senior housing development friendly to LGBTQ+ people. The Loft also puts on Westchester Pride, which attracts 7,000 visitors, and the Hudson Valley Trans Forum."

The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center is proud to announce that for the first time in The LOFT’s history, 2023 will have two recipients for The Edie Windsor & Thea Spyer Equality Award, The Honorable Mondaire Jones, and Westchester County Executive, George Latimer.


Both lawmakers and leaders have made extraordinary contributions that have directly impacted and empowered The LOFT and so many lives of our LGBTQ+ community! We hope you can join us on Friday, September 22, 2023, as we celebrate these incredible community champions.

Out At The Movies: Passages

Celebrated filmmaker Ira Sachs (Love is Strange) makes a breathtaking return with Passages, a fresh, honest, and brutally funny take on messy modern relationships starring Franz Rogowski (Great Freedom), Ben Whishaw (Women Talking), and Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is the Warmest Colour). Set in Paris, this seductive drama tells the story of Tomas (Rogowski) and Martin (Whishaw), a gay couple whose marriage is thrown into crisis when Tomas begins a passionate affair with Agathe (Exarchopoulos), a younger woman he meets after completing his latest film.

Join OUT at The MOVIES group to see Passages at the Jacob Burns Film Center, August 20-Sunday. The group gathers at 4:20 for 4:30 showing. Group meets up afterward at a nearby eatery.
