    The Transgender Peer Support Group is an open-topic group run by a trained facilitator for individuals who identify as transgender, gender variant, gender queer, or intersex (18 and older). Partners of transgender group participants are also welcome.

    Gaymes Night 4-27-24

    The LOFT's Gaymes Night is a social evening of board games and cards (No gambling or betting). Attendees bring new and old games to try or select from the center's extensive game selection.

    Ward Pound Ridge in Cross River , NY

    Join OUTWalking on our next adventure!
    WHEN: Sunday, April 28th, from 10AM - 12:30PM
    WHERE: Ward Pound Ridge - 6 Reservation Road, Cross River, NY
    $10 parking fee

    Join us as we explore the 4,315 acres of Ward Pound Ridge, Westchester County's largest park. Please note there will be hills to climb at times and that we will walk approximately 4 miles. Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is located on Reservation Road, just off of Old Post Road / Route 35. There is a parking lot located at "6 Reservation Road, Cross River, NY 10518" which will be our meeting location. When you turn onto Reservation Road, continue straight and you will arrive at a small toll booth situated on your left hand side. Standard fare is $10 cash. Continue straight past the booth, you will then see meadows on your left and pass a house on your right. Reservation Road leads right into the parking lot by the Trailside Museum. The hike features three points of interest, the "Indian Rock Shelter", the "Former Fire Tower" (the highest point in the reservation), and there will be a a Nature Museum, a Wigwam, and a Wildflower Garden at the conclusion of our hike. For anyone wanting to take public transit, it can arranged to pick a few people up at the Fleetwood Metro-North Station. Hope to see you there!

    *The LOFT'S OutWalking events are planned with everyone's safety in mind and we ask that participants complete this waiver to acknowledge they feel safe and able to engage in this physical activity. Once signed, they will be kept on file for the remainder of the calendar year, and do not need to be completed on a monthly basis.     The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center in White Plains, NY

    (IP): Knitting Circle

    The LGBTQ+ Knitting Circle is open to all experience levels. Beginners welcome! Some materials are provided, but we encourage you to bring your own.


    WHEN: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

    Suggested Materials:

    • Size 8 straight, bamboo needles
    • Yarn, look for something that's DK, worsted, or aran weight (may also be listed as weight 3 or 4 or as light or medium weight)
    • A bag to hold your supplies

    Recommendations:

    • Please avoid using plastic or metal needles if you are a beginner, as these are more difficult to work with.
    • Bamboo needles are very affordable and widely available.
    • We recommend any natural fiber (cotton, wool, etc.) or a blend of natural fibers. It doesn't have to be expensive, but please avoid 100% acrylic yarn as this is difficult to work with, especially as a beginner.

    LGBTQ+ 20-Somethings is a LOFT Peer Support Group for individuals who identify under the queer umbrella and are aged 20-29. Our discussions consist of topics brought by group attendees that night. Folx are encouraged to seek out new friendships, make connections, establish local LGBTQ+ affirming spots to meet up, share TV shows, movies, and book recommendations, or just kick back and listen to what like-minded people have to say!

    This inter-generational program is part of Silver Connections, The LOFT's initiative for LGBTQ+ community members aged 55 and above. However, this inclusive meditation experience is open to individuals of all ages, 18 and older. Join us as we create a harmonious space to foster well-being and connection within our vibrant community.
